Sizzix can be considered as one of the pioneers of the die-cutting industry. It has been around since 2000, under Ellison (the parent company of Sizzix). Sizzix Bigz Dies
Bigz die-cuts, as its name suggests, are large dies that cut almost anything including cardstock, felt, fabric, foam, magnet, leather, craft aluminum, and many other materials. Because of their large size, there are almost unlimited possibilities to use them for projects such as: decorative shapes, bags, cards, envelopes and lettering!
These dies are only compatible with the Big Shot and Bigkick die-cutting machines. The Bigz Dies measure at about 5 1/2 x 6 inches. Bigz dies come is a wide variety of choices.

Sizzlits die-cuts are available in many different designs and probably the most affordable die-cuts that Sizzix offers for the quality and quantity of dies. Sizzlits are designed to cut single sheets of cardstock. They are used for those cute little projects if you need a little letter or shape or even a border.
These die-cuts are designed to fit in all Sizzix die-cut machines. However, some are compatible with roller machines only.
Some examples listed in categories are: Single, Alphabet Sets, Decorative Sets, and Decorative Strips (borders).
Clearlits die-cuts are dies that have a see-through plastic back with an essential shape so you can see exactly what is being cut. They use amazing decorative accents, tags, ornaments, frames, and much more.
Some examples listed in categories are: Flowers, Shapes, Tags, and Miscellaneous Clearlits Dies. Like Sizzlits, the Clearlits Dies are designed to fit in all Sizzix die-cut machines, but some are compatible with roller machines only.
Embosslits die-cuts basically take the die-cutting and embossing processes into one step.

Some examples listed in categories are: Alphabet Sets, Flowers, Shapes, Tags, Animals, Phrases, Accents, and many more types of die-cuts.Simple Impression Embossing Folders.
On a side note, if you are a parent and you are thinking of involving your kids in scrapping, choosing a suitable set of dies and machine would be important to you.
To begin, it is best to start with supplies you probably already have on hand such as scrapbook paper, photos, writing materials, and scissors. I recommend Clearlits dies because they can be see-through so you can see exactly what’s being cut to turn printouts and photos into great scrapbook accents.
The Original Sizzix Machine is also not bad because it is a press-style machine that makes cuts and does embossing easily. The Original dies allow you to create shapes to embellish cards, paper crafts, and even textiles.
